Reed level sensor for floating roof tanks PMP-022

Monitoring of floating roof tanks overfilling. Output - «dry» contact.

Application

Designed for monitoring of critical upper level of liquid in floating roof tanks.

Provides switching of output circuit when monitored medium reaches predefined control level value. Designed for application in APCS, DCS, ESDS systems at sites of chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and foodstuff industries, in machine engineering and shipbuilding industries.

Seismic active areas approved.

Main operation sites: Petrol filling stations, CNG/LNG filling stations, Multi fuel filling stations, Container filling stations, tank farms, gas storages, High-pressure gas filling stations, Oil refineries, etc.

Specifications

Description

Housing is manufactured of powder-coated aluminum alloy AlSi7 with oxide fluoride electro conductive coating (housing can be manufactured of corrosion-resistant steel 12Cr18Ni9T, 12Kh18N10T as per Customer’s request.) Housing has external and internal grounding clamps, single of two cable entries. Supplied with various types of cable sheath mounting devices at Customer’s request. Electronic board with terminals for connection is enclosed within, they can be accessed through removable cover. Conductors connection is executed using cable fittings.

Tank mounting is manufactured as per Customer’s request.

CAUTION: Minimal diameter of tank mounting hole for installation of converter is 50 mm, minimal internal diameter of tank neck is 60 mm.

Spring-actuated cage with magnet travels along the guide pipe made of corrosion-resistant steel 12Cr18Ni10Ti. The guide pipe contains the reed switch altering its state impacted by the magnetic field. The magnet impacts the reed-switch as the load presses down the spring. The floating roof lifts the load as the tank infill reaches the upper level. The reed switch is relayed as the magnet is diverted by the released spring. The control point is set by choosing the appropriate length of the cord.
