UZA-M transport tanks grounding device
Application
Road tanker grounding device UZA-M is designed for deflection of static electricity charges during loading and unloading of combustible and flammable liquids.. The device provides continuous control of grounding circuit and light signal for permission of loading and unloading, as well as interlock of actuators in case of grounding circuit breakage.

Design, operation principle
Grounding device is a solid explosion-proof housing made of aluminium alloy with anti-corrosive coating and an indicator on a front panel. Indicator has a 180° viewing angle in horizontal and vertical planes, and provides a possibility to perform visual control of grounding circuit state.
Cable entry (with fitting) for grounding cable connection is placed on right side of the device housing.
Power and executive or controlling mechanisms connection cable entries are placed on the bottom part of the device.
Grounding device determines the impedance between the contacts of grounding clamps and, if the measured impedance is withing the acceptable range, switches the relay. State indicator on the case of grounding device displays the operation mode and the status if the grounding circuit: red light - awaiting connection;flashing green light - grounding circuit impedance is within acceptable range.
Grounding circuit impedance measurement is executed on altering voltage, which helpt to avoid oxidation at increased humidity and contact loss between grounding clamps and grounded object.
