Waveguide reflex radar level transmitter SENS UMV

Waveguide reflex radar. Up to 15000 mm. 4-20 mA (HART). Measurement of liquid level.

Application

Intended for measurement of level of liquid media with dielectric permeability at least 1.6 in tanks and vessels, and conversion of measurement data into unified current signal 4-20 mA and (or) digital encoded signal based on HART protocol, during accounting and process operations.

Level transmitter may be applied within APCS, DCS, ESDS systems at sites of chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, in machine engineering and shipbuilding industries.

Main operation sites: Petrol filling stations, CNG/LNG filling stations, multi fuel filling stations, container filling stations, tank farms, gas storages, high-pressure gas filling stations, oil refineries, etc.

Features

  • various types of mounting devices for protective cable sheath (metal hose conduit, armored cable, pipe)

Description

Housing is manufactured of aluminum alloy Ak7ch with oxide fluoride electro conductive coating, painted with powder paint (housing may be manufactured of corrosion-resistant steel as per Customer’s request). External grounding and internal grounding clamps, single or two cable glands. Housing is equipped by various types of cable protective sheath fixture elements. Electronic unit, board with terminals for connections are enclosed within housing, terminals can be accessed through removable cover.

Level transmitter is supplied with non-adjustable flanged or threaded fixture element.

Principle of operation

The principle of operation is based on measuring the propagation time of an electromagnetic pulse along a waveguide immersed in a controlled medium from the moment the pulse is emitted to the moment the return pulse is received, reflected from the surface of the controlled medium.

Level transmitter displays measured information using built-in indicator (if available) and provides transmission of information as analog unified signala 4-20 mA and (or) digital encoded signal based on HART protocol.
