Level transmitter is designed for measurement of level of liquid and bulk media in process and commodity vessels (tanks, silos, containers).

Level transmitter is applied in modern systems of commercial accounting of petroleum and petroleum product during accounting, settlement and process operations at sites fuel and energy complex, municipal sites, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Level transmitter is installed in explosion-hazardous areas of premises and open sites under conditions of atmospheric precipitations and sun radiation. The instrument has separator element as per GOST 31610.26, can be mounted on tank with permanent presence of explosion-hazardous gas mixture (zone class 0).

By operation principle the level transmitter is radio wave frequency distance finder with linear frequency modulation (LFM/FMCW) of radiated frequency.

It consists of a housing and a horn-lens antenna mounted on fixture element. Th housing is made of aluminum alloy Ak7ch with oxide fluoride electro conductive coating, painted with powder paint (housing can be made of corrosion-resistant steel 12Х18Н9ТЛ, 12Х18Н10Т). The housing has internal and external grounding clamps, two cable glands. It is equipped by various types of cable protective sheath fixture elements. Electronic board with terminals for connections is enclosed within housing, terminals can be accessed through removable cover.

Level transmitter emits radio waves towards surface of monitored medium and receives reflected signal from it, thus measuring distance to medium surface. Level of medium is determined related to base height of level transmitter installation in the tank (from tank bottom to surface of installation flange).
